Hopeful & Happy

Headband- Urban Outfitters

Dress- Forever 21
Oxfords- DSW

Boy oh boy does it feel lovely to be wearing a pair of tights. I have truly missed them all summer, especially when it was extremely hot out and my legs would chafe together. The struggle is real! haha. Plus it means fall is coming! Which I have noticed around the web that every person I know is also super excited for the season change this year.

When picking out this outfit I really wanted to look comfy, but cute at the same time. While these colors, early autumn neutrals, scream cozy to me, this dress is just a wee bit short. Which gave me something to worry about all day, even with shorts on underneath, it is not the best situation. I actually often have this problem with Forever 21 dresses, and their skirts-- forget about it! Luckily H&M normally has similar styles and similar prices but with a little added length.

Lately I have been thinking a lot about inner happiness and how often the inner-self is forgotten. This is why, this month, I am going to work extra hard to make sure I am happy. This includes eating healthier, working out, hanging out with family more, and finding new music. What do you do to lift your spirits on a daily basis?

Good for you! I hope you find this journey fulfilling! It is, as you say, so often overlooked. I love this look!

My spirits have needed lifting lately so maybe I need to take a page out of your book and focus on some good stuff!

In other news I'm super jealous that you can wear tights this early in September. It's still in the high 80s here and also like 100% humidity. I want tights! I love how cozy and cute this outfit looks though. Great dress and cute shoes!

All the best with your quest for inner-happiness! That's actually super cool that you're celebrating the self and well being :)
I totally feel you on the super short lengths...I just stopped buying dresses and skirts because there's little hope out there for me haha.
Love your look here though -- so cozy, yet still has a touch of the lingering summer season.

This outfit is amazing and I am so glad to see that you are back to blogging! You were gone for so long that I didn't know where to find you!

This is a cute outfit :3 I love the photos and your shoes!!!

Working out nearly daily has changed how I feel. It's amazing for stress and giving yourself energy. I always feel like death while doing it but afterwards, a boost of energy!

So very lovely. Love your style, and I too am a lover of tights. Been in ballet since I was 5, so it's kinda obvious I guess. Dance major at college, so I usually go from class to class on campus with shorts over my tights........ try to do it fashionably though.
Your color selection is so perfect, and you have such a pretty smile too.

You're definitely an inspiration to me....

I couldn't agree more.........

What a fashion necessity, and so stylish (and colorful when desired).

For me it went from dance class....... I will always remember my first ballet class, walking in and having a whole bunch of little girls point and giggle at the boy who walked in wearing tights.....

to being in my teens and deciding that MY sense of fashion was more Jean Paul Gautier and less Macho Masculine guy......
that there was nothing wrong with a guy wearing tights in public...... as an accessory to shorts, or under a long sweater......

Hopefully times are changing.....

I absolutely love your style and your look.
