Double Stripes

{Boots: DSW -- Dress: Modcloth -- Scarf: Target -- Cardigan: H&M}

Finally! The weather has called for tights and a scarf! Don't be fooled by the sunny back drop, it was pretty chilly today. Of course freezing wind added to that. I wore this outfit to school today, just wanted to wear something comfy because I haven't been feeling to well lately. Just some stomach issues, nothing new.

I have quite a bit to get done before the night is over, but I'm glad I was able to pop on here for a little bit. Finding new blogs always cheers me up!

Black Thorn

{Oxfords: Target -- Dress: Modcloth -- Jacket: Modcloth -- Belt: Forever 21 -- Ring: Forever 21 -- Hat: Vintage}

Lovely news guys, I finally got a remote for my camera that works! Hopefully this means more pictures, but I can't stress enough how busy my life outside of blogging has been. I discovered the wonder of writing to-do lists the night before. Seriously, my life is so much better with them. You know how you always want to get things done at night, but come morning time you just want to sit on your computer all day? Writing what you want to do at night will help get them done the next day, or at least it has for me. If you're like me and have been feeling a lack of motivation lately, give it a try? And let me know if it helps! :)

Now, about this outfit, lately I've been kind of avoiding all my floral prints and grabbing the edgier pieces in my closet. Just feels more like who I am these days, plus I've been drooling over these creepers, I just can't bring myself to pay $70 for them. So I guess I'll just keep staring at them everyday and hopefully find a better deal.

I believe autumn starts this week/end or next week? I am so excited! There have even been a few trees that already half orange! Definitely the best season for us bloggers, can't wait for all these awesome back drops! Have you guys noticed anything fall like lately? (Besides pumpkin flavored everything!)

Have a good week!

Take Me To The Rock Show

{Shoes: Vans -- Pants: Anthropologie -- Shirt: Thrifted -- Cardigan: H&M -- Beret: Urban Outfitters}

Hello lovely readers.
My main goal for today's outfit was comfort. I knew it would be a long day and after a long morning workout I just wanted to be able to relax. Now, these corduroys are my first pair of  "jegging" pants. I am oh so pleased! The two worst part of wearing jeans is how uncomfortable they are if you sit down and having to wear a belt so your butt isn't hanging out all day (or pulling up your jeans every five minutes). I don't have to wear a belt with these beauties and the stretch for my curves! Such a wonderful idea, plus isn't the color so autumn dreamy?

Thanks for all your comments on my hair! I had originally tried to ombre it with a red/orange color, but it faded in one day. Bleaching was my second option and I really like how it turned out. Although, I have been dreaming of dark hair again, just like a deep dark brown would be beautiful I believe, especially since my eyebrows are naturally darker. What do you all think?

Oh did I mention I won this Dahlia dress from a Facebook competition?? I really was so shocked, I never win anything! I think life will be okay now, because that dress is so fantastic and it was free (for me) and I love it and did I mention I love it?

Hope you have a joyful week :)

Frizz Ball

{Boots: Vintage -- Dress: Modcloth -- Cardigan: Forever 21 -- Necklace: Urban Outfitters}

Look everyone, I'm on a roll! Two posts in one week :)

I couldn't resist the temptation to take pictures in the dress, which I bought from the recent Modcloth sale for $15 (originally $60!) There is something about buying items on sale, it makes that piece feel so much better. There is a bit of pride I believe in finding amazing clothing at thrift stores or during massive sales. You can't help but think how someone definitely paid full price, but I got it way cheaper!  It's a double edged sword though, I often find things I would kill for, but since they aren't on sale I don't buy them and then they sell out! It's so heartbreaking, but not as heartbreaking as paying full price!

You have to be thrifty when you are in college!

Speaking of which, I have been doing homework all day and still have more to do. At least it's interesting I guess v.v

Hope your day was filled with loveliness!

Balance Is Key

{Oxfords: Modcloth -- Dress: Forever21 -- Hat: H&M -- Necklace: American Eagle}

I've come to the realization that balance is the key to everything. I have tendencies to fall in head first to things I enjoy while giving up everything else. This happened most recently, over the past few months, where I fell in love with exercise (again). It was the only thing on my mind and if I missed a day of working out I felt like utter poop. Now that school is starting up again, I've promised myself to better balance my time. And what is one of my most favorite past times? Well, blogging!

Okay, to be honest I was a bit burned out of blogging. It started stressing me out because I felt I always needed new clothes and it takes so much time to go out take pictures, edit them, post them on the blog, and then on other sites like lookbook and chictopia. Now though, I miss that... this entire summer was a whole lot of soul searching and I feel much more stable and happy about who I am. I've declared a major in school (fashion merchandising!) and it couldn't feel more right

I'm sorry I left you guys to the wind, but I did need a break. And I'm not sure if I will be posting as often as I was before, but hopefully once or twice a week. Thanks for staying with me!
