Balance Is Key

{Oxfords: Modcloth -- Dress: Forever21 -- Hat: H&M -- Necklace: American Eagle}

I've come to the realization that balance is the key to everything. I have tendencies to fall in head first to things I enjoy while giving up everything else. This happened most recently, over the past few months, where I fell in love with exercise (again). It was the only thing on my mind and if I missed a day of working out I felt like utter poop. Now that school is starting up again, I've promised myself to better balance my time. And what is one of my most favorite past times? Well, blogging!

Okay, to be honest I was a bit burned out of blogging. It started stressing me out because I felt I always needed new clothes and it takes so much time to go out take pictures, edit them, post them on the blog, and then on other sites like lookbook and chictopia. Now though, I miss that... this entire summer was a whole lot of soul searching and I feel much more stable and happy about who I am. I've declared a major in school (fashion merchandising!) and it couldn't feel more right

I'm sorry I left you guys to the wind, but I did need a break. And I'm not sure if I will be posting as often as I was before, but hopefully once or twice a week. Thanks for staying with me!

Glad to see you blogging again. I've got really into my blog all over again and am really enjoying it. I definitely do get the thing about feeling like you have to have new things all the time. It seems like other blogs have endless dresses - I just dont post as much. You should just do the blogging bits you want to do - personally I am not a fan of chictopia etc as it feels more like a contest, less to do with blogging.

I really like your blog and style so will keep reading whatever. :)

I do love your dress. I have a whole collection of key necklaces and this works perfectly with yours. Really cute.

I definitely wish I had the concentration to lose myself in a hobby completely for a while!
Best of luck with your new major, hope you have lots of fun with it!

Oh noes, if you ever feel like blogging is anything less than fun, then a break is definitely in order!
But anyways, you look wonderful in this outfit. I'm such a huge fan of those Oxfords - the fringe detail makes it awesome.
Just found your blog, and I really like your style! Hope to keep in touch~

I'm glad you're back to blogging! I try to take a relaxed approach to it so I don't get burned out and I make sure to have break days during the week. It's hard to have time to do it every single day and I don't want to stress myself out too much haha
In other news, your dress is so so cute. I love the key print on it. The key necklace is fantastic with it too!
