{Shoes: Converse -- Jeans: Levi's -- Sweater: Urban Outfitters -- Jacket: Modcloth -- Under shirt: Urban Outfitters}
I am trying this new thing, it's called dressing for myself and not for my blog. I have noticed, since I've been blogging, that I tend to get into a sort of style rut when picking things out because all that is running through my head is "what would look cute in pictures". Now all I am doing is picking out what I want to wear, for me. And this is what I came up with. I drew inspiration from other bloggers of course, mainly those from England and Sweden at the moment. I was cozy all day plus I think this outfit turned out just fine in pictures, even though I am wearing a pair of jeans!
Also want to mention how in love I am with this new jacket from Modcloth. I have been searching for the perfect leather jacket far too long, and now it's mine! Such a wonderful feeling when you find something you have been looking everywhere for.
My mommy is in town so now I am off to go be with her, happy friday!

As a blogger, I empathize wit you. I often find myself redressing for what might be photo appropriate, instead of just dressing for the day.
This outfit is beautiful - it's casual yet delicate. I love the peter pan collar popping through the sweater!

Good for you! I sometimes find myself wondering "Would this outfit be worth taking pictures of?" But that is the whole point of a style blog, to show what we wear day-to-day! That sweater is great, I love the pattern on it.
Good for you for dressing for yourself! (excuse the excessive use of for) Though having a blog makes you more experimental with fashion, don't lose sight of who you truly are! For me, I never post a look that I will only put on the blog but would be mortified to go out with :P haha, anyways, love the sweater! and you look gorgeous :)

I know exactly what you mean. I find my favorite outfits are the ones I put together because it's what I truly feel like wearing..not what I think will look good in pictures. When I'm thinking in terms of my blog it takes me forever to get dressed and I usually end up changing anyway. I love this look...so comfy and casual but still super cute!

That's a great jacket! I definitely find myself getting in the same sort of rut. Have to remind myself why I started to blog in the first place! :)
I feel your pain!
Happy new year dear! xx
I do the same thing! When I get dressed for the day, one of the first things that runs through my head is, "How would this look in pictures? Am I going to take pictures today?" I guess as style bloggers we all dress for the camera at some point or another. Way to go for dressing for you and only you! I think the camera liked it, too. ;)

Hope you have a lovely day with your mother! And I am so happy for you to discover your true sense of style and to go with your heart. The best outfits come out that way! And this one is certainty no exception. That leather jacket...swoon! ❤
Have a Happy New Year Kaylee!
I really like this look. It's kind of edgy. :) It's very you.
I'm glad you're dressing for you now. It's kind of sucky to dress for something else. But you still look amazing.
Have a great New Year

Your style is always amazing! No need to worry so much, but I totally agree with you, dressing for the blog is much harder than simply dressing.
