Out For a Stroll

Dress: Forever21// Sandals: Target// Belt: Thrift Store

Isn't this guy awesome?

On my last day in perfect weather Southern California I went to the beach! The sun was out, the wind was blowing, and nothing reminds me of home more than the smell of the salty ocean water. I'm already feeling a bit home sick, but hopefully it will get better with time.

I must admit however, walking in heels on a pier wasn't the easiest of tasks! At least I was dressed cute as I stumbled along. When wearing this look I felt very summer appropriate in my platform sandals and my little polka dot navy dress. I might even have to pick polka dots as my summer pattern of choice (yes even over florals!) What your summer staple pattern so far?

Bad To The Bone

Top: H&M// Skirt: F21// Boots: Dr. Martens

Something about wearing Doc Martens makes me feel a little bad ass. Even if they are floral and I am wearing a pretty girly outfit with them. I thought the police car complimented my "rough and tough" mood very well.

I'm home now, got in a few hours ago. It feels good to be back to my pets and my room, especially my closet! Oh how I missed it truly! I also had a few goodies waiting for me I got some vintage huarache sandals and two dresses from New Look! Can't wait to share them with you guys.

Hello lovlies!

I'm back! My teeth removal went pretty well, but I was out and drugged for a few days. Thanks for all the well wishes, they made me feel a bit better! Also a giant thanks to Harriet and Emma, I adored both outfit posts. I can't really thank you enough for helping me out ladies, but I owe you one!

Yesterday my boyfriend and I went out to dinner with my parents as a little going away event. Thursday, tomorrow, we are flying back home to Maryland, just in time for another heat wave! Only to leave for North Carolina in a week though. Anyone been there before? If you have, any amazing places I need to visit? :)

Scarf: Vintage// Blouse: Thrift Store// Skirt: Anthropologie (On sale of course!)// Satchel: Urban Outfitters// Sandals: Target

I found out yesterday that Urban Outfitters is opening their second store in Maryland! This one is closer to my house, about a 20 minute drive, and I would absolutely love to work there. They have amazing clothes, shoes, and apartment items, it would seriously be a dream come true. However they are holding their open job interviews on two days that I will be out in North Carolina. The disappointment was so strong! I am not sure, but am hoping they might have another one at a later date, would be so killer to work there!

This last picture was sort of an accident, forgot to adjust the settings on my camera before I gave it to my boyfriend. I liked how it turned out though, the over exposure is sort of fun!

I'm off to go pack for the trip home, thanks again Harriet and Emma, you guys are amazing!

Sunshine - Scrapbook de la Emma

blouse + belt: dotti
skirt: topshop
tights: equip
handbag: vintage
wedges: FSW
cardigan: quirky circus
necklace: sportsgirl

Hello darling readers of Wild Flower! It's Emma from the blog Scrapbook de la Emma here, I'm guest blogging while Kaylee is recovering from having her wisdom teeth removed (poor dear, hope you are OK honey). I was so thrilled when I received Kaylee's email asking me to be a guest blogger! One because I love an opportunity to involve myself in other peoples blogs, and two because I just love Kaylee's blog and felt very honored that she wanted me. I seriously love Kaylee's style, I think because she has quite similar taste in clothing to me, I could seriously raid her wardrobe and probably leave her with nothing left.

Anyway, I had a whole other outfit planned for today's post but naturally the weather was being a big old pain. I live in Australia and it's Winter at the moment, which means rain and wind = not good for outfit photo's. Instead of going with what I had planned I decided to post this outfit instead which is from last week some time when the sun was actually out and it was kinda warm.

I actually blogged an outfit similar to this one back in April, but just mixed it up a little with a blue skirt, different tights and a cardigan. Not that exciting but I really love this blouse with the ruffled sleeves and buttoned back.

Thanks again to Kaylee for asking me to be a guest blogger, hope you are back showing us you're awesome outfits soon.

I feel like the shadows, I don't even bother for anymore than that.

Hello Everyone!

I’m Harriet, from This Charming Style. Kaylee asked me to do a guest post on her blog while she has her teeth taken out (I hope all is well, Kaylee!) and I was super excited and honoured!

I decided that it would be a great opportunity to show off my latest sale find. I was browsing the Dahlia Fashion sale when I came across this little beauty. I loved it when it was first in stock, but didn’t have the £62 to spend. Imagine my delight when I saw that it was just £15! I had to snap it up quickly. Although I usually take a small, there was none left, so a medium had to do. I just couldn’t resist! You can see that it's a little big on the top half but nevermind.

As I haven’t done an outfit post in a while, I decided to stick to my trademark look of socks and wedges, a cute dress, and my trusty hat. I was lucky that the sun came out for me to take these photos, as England has been rain, rain and more rain lately. It's so depressing when you have lots of summer dresses to wear, but the weather won't allow it. Saying that, as you can see, I still throw some black into my outfit even when the sun IS out!

Dress - Dahlia
Wedges - Next
Bag - Jane Shilton (Vintage)
Hat & Cardigan - H&M

Anyway, I hope you love this outfit as much as I do - and thanks to Kaylee for letting me do a guest post on her gorgeous blog!

Have a wonderful weekend guys!

Love Harriet xx

Inspiration: Summer

{You can click the link or the image to go to the original source}

For one reason or another, all these pictures remind me of how my summer is going so far. I am relaxed, tanned, and reading more than ever {Just about to finish the last book of Hunger Games!}.

I was happily browsing through summer pictures for a couple hours, anything to distract me from becoming too nervous for my tooth removal tomorrow, when I realized I really want to take a photography class. The beautiful pictures people take have me in awe, I know they probably edit them quite a bit also, but I could go for a photo shop class too!

All summer I found myself wishing for Fall, when I finally had an epiphany! Earlier, at dusk, I was outside reading, the wind was blowing slightly, the sun was kissing my skin, and that's when it happened. I love summer! I am no real rush for Fall. I need to learn to live in the now. I am young and free and ready to start living! Of course, once I am healed from my awful wisdom teeth removal, which I am still trying to avoid the fact that it is tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a great summer out there <3

Bon Soir,
Kaylee Nicole

P.S. Make sure to stop by to see the two lovely quest bloggers I am having {making it a surprise!} while I am out for a few days!

HeadBand: F21// Blouse: Thrift Store// Shorts: Target// Shoes: Kmart

I am finally home from my little mini vacation, where I got to see my grandpa, who has the most amazing collection of antiques. Although it was a bit warm in Arizona/Nevada, got up to 120 degrees one day, I still had a lot of fun. One day I took my camera down to the lake, took pictures in my cute little red 50's two piece. The light was soft and the location was perfect, then I realized I forgot to put my memory card back in! It was the most frustrating experience, and now I have to go buy a new card because while it was out my dog tore it apart.

Here is the a picture I did manage to take of the lake the day before my missing memory card

I want to let you guys know I will be out for a few days, I'm getting my upper wisdom teeth removed on friday. But don't fear, I have two very lovely ladies coming over to do guest posts! I'm so excited to see what outfits they are going to show off!

I'll still be posting tomorrow, but they came out friday morning, wish me luck!

Hat: Uo// Dress: Good Will// Shoes: K-mart

Hi lovelies!

I am sorry for not posting the last couple days, it's been driving me crazy. I've been on a vacation, currently in Nevada, and have just been busy as heck! Today is my mum's birthday and we have been out on the lake jet skiing and such all day. The hotel I am staying at has horribly slow internet as well, which only makes matters worse!

As for the good news I found this adorable polka dot dress at a thrift store in Arizona, I love the buttons and of course the long length! Something about red with white polka dots just screams vintage summer to me!

I'll try and update tomorrow if I can, sorry for leaving you guys in the dust!
